Other

Sneem is a charming village idyllically situated between the MacGillycuddy Reeks mountain range and the sea of Kenmare Bay in the southwest of Ireland. Life in Sneem happens at a very relaxed pace and the village offers shops, cafés, restaurants and atmospheric pubs in which to browse, refresh oneself by day or while away the evening. The village is composed of two squares, north and south, joined by a bridge over Sneem river. The village is quaint and pretty, local pride evident in the colourfully, painted houses and well–tended public areas. Sneem is a regular award–winner in the National Tidy Towns Competition, winning the top prize in 1987.
